Understanding Lijnders' initiative concept
Pep Lijnders—a young coach, who yet, has a LOT of valuable and perhaps overlooked experiences within the game. You see, I am not exclusively talking about his tactical philosophy and how he has managed to install his adherence for the ideas of Johan Cruyff into a team lead by a Arrigo Sacchi enthusiast. What a combination, though it is actually something that goes so much deeper than the public eye that I will be discussing in this piece, It goes deeper? Well, that is correct, though it’s not your fault if this seems a foreign concept to you. I will be delving into the depths of how he intrigants his principles into a team that embraces competition within all/most of their drills. Make no mistake about it, this is a coach leading a team who WANTs to win prizes, they do not HAVE to win prizes, well, that is the difference between a optimal and sub-optimal mindset in certain or most situations. This is a concept or term that really caught my interest as I was reading his book, and truthly, these feelings of fulfilment are only achievable while learning in a complete flow-state; It is like the pieces have all been connected—each page I read symbolises a new page of my notebook, new ideas, new actionable. Does anyone read books like this? You bookmark tweets to come back to, you repeat the knowledge in your head, though do you ACTUALLY take notes on pen and paper? This is the single greatest tactic for learning—So, why don’t you try it with this piece…?
You can go read or watch the 50th video on maximising player-strength, or ‘Arsenal need this [game-breakers] to win the league’ — And I hope that helps you, I actually do wish that for you. Though, if you are HONEST with yourself, are these pieces of content GOOD for you? I’ve not watched any of them, though does the creator mention Bill Shankly’s piano quote?—Contextualising your piece around that topic means it is FUNDMENTAL to build the video or article PRIMARILY around that quote.
Anyway, I am not following the algorithm. You know that building the largest publication is only seen as the extra ingredient for me, you know that, my motivations are so much more purpose-orientated. The summation of materialism; It doesn’t mean anything to me, I have said this before, though I will say it again because this is absolutely the truth. So, I am talking about purpose in this paragraph…? Let me tell you what the most valuable and cool thing to do as purpose is in this game actually is; COACHING, it is coaching. It is why I have so much respect for those young coaches who are starting at a youth level. The players who trust YOU have literally [voluntarily] placed their careers in your hands, the pressure? So much pressure. Pressure is reward. You have to think like that, love pressure, love responsibility, embrace chaos and use it to pursue your goals.
